Headline:

Sunshine expected in many places during the day.

Today:

Mostly cloudy with occasional outbreaks of light rain in England and Wales at first, these dying out later with sunny periods developing. Scotland and Northern Ireland having a sunny day, although with cloud and rain spreading into northwestern Scotland.

Tonight:

Cloud and occasional rain spreads south across Scotland. Gradually becoming cloudier in southern and central England. Elsewhere it remains dry and largely clear with a chance of frost and fog.

Thursday:

Becoming cloudier across the UK, although there will be some sunny spells in Wales, Northern Ireland and parts of England at first. Outbreaks of rain become more widespread across Scotland.
